What Corporate Social Responsibility basically means is what a business does more for the wellbeing of others than required in an economical & legal sense. Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013, has made Corporate Social Responsibility mandatory to Companies fulfilling certain criterion. Also, Companies (CSR Policy) Amendment Rules, 2021 has made reporting on CSR mandatory and Form CSR 1 is to be certified by a Chartered Accountant.
